A Hesperia man is facing drug and weapons charges after police found him with 16 guns, ammunition, a variety of other weapons, and more than a pound of meth, fentanyl and LSD, among other drugs.
Kaylo Starostka, 37, was found in a home in the 18400 block of Temecula Avenue when deputies served a search warrant there at about midday on Feb. 3, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
“During the service of the search warrant, deputies located 16 firearms, a large amount of ammunition, large capacity rifle magazines, three pairs of brass knuckles, five switch blades, and approximately 1.2 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, ecstasy, and lysergic acid diethylamide,” authorities said.
Starostka was arrested on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing ammunition as a prohibited person and possession of drugs for sale.
He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. Jail records also show several additional charges, including possession of drugs while armed and possession of a silencer.
He’s due to appear in Rancho Superior Court on Tuesday.
