HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DC News Now) — Hagerstown police are investigating after a man from North Carolina was killed in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon.
Details are limited; However, the Hagerstown Police Department (HPD) said officers were called to the 200 block of West Franklin Street to investigate a shooting inside a residence just before 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 12
Once on the scene, first responders found a man who had been shot. He died from his injuries.
The HPD identified the victim as 39-year-old Jamaal Roberts of Rocky Mount, NC.
Police said a suspect was taken into custody, and their name will be released once they are officially charged.
