NEW YORK (PIX11) — Thousands of PlayStation users experienced extended outages with the PlayStation Network starting Friday evening and lasting into Saturday evening.
Reports on Downdetector at the time spiked at more than 70,000 reports on Friday night around 6:40 p.m. By 11 a.m. Saturday morning, reports continued pouring in with more than 6,000 and counting.
But as of Saturday around 7 p.m. ET, Ask Playstation support announced via X: “PSN has been restored. You should be able to access online features without any problems now… Sorry for the inconvenience!”
Impacted systems during the outage included the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and online.
The gaming giant has yet to announce a cause for the outage.
