A suspect remains at large after three people, including an infant, were hospitalized in a South L.A. drive-by shooting Saturday night.
Los Angeles police responded to reports of shots fired near Arlington Avenue and 24th Street at around 4:35 p.m.
Arriving officers found three victims inside a car with gunshot wounds. They were only identified as a 6-month-old boy, a 25-year-old woman, and a 45-year-old woman.
Police said the victims were sitting in a parked car when the suspect drove by and opened fire on the vehicle.
The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived. All three victims were transported to the hospital where they remain in stable condition Saturday night.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, however, investigators believe the incident is gang-related.
Photos of the scene show the victims’ silver sedan was parked in a neighborhood and left riddled with bullet holes.
No further details were released as the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can call the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247.
