ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Anne Arundel County said they arrested a woman who tried to rob a bank in Annapolis last month.
On Jan. 16, at about 10:45 a.m., the Anne Arundel County Police Department (AACPD) was dispatched to the Wells Fargo on Jennifer Road after receiving reports of an attempted robbery.
Police said a woman walked into the bank, implied she had a gun and demanded money.
AACPD noted she did not pull out a handgun and the bank teller refused to comply with her demands, so she left the bank.
At the time, police were not able to find the suspect.
Nearly a month after the incident, AACPD located 34-year-old Marlissa Lanae Redd. She was arrested at her home in Trappe, Md. on Feb. 4, and charged with Attempted Commercial Robbery.
