LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Community members came together on Saturday, Feb.1, at Ion International Training Center in Leesburg to remember those who died in the deadly plane crash near Reagan National Airport (DCA).
Members of the skating community who knew some of the victims were in attendance and shared stories about them and who they were.
Also in attendance included Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia Winsome Earle-Sears and Chair of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors Phyllis Randall, who also spoke at the event.
Grief counselors were also at the event, ready to support anyone who needed it.
