Three suspects were arrested for a Glendale home burglary that involved the theft of luxury goods and jewelry.
The suspects, who police said were all foreign nationals, were identified as:
- Jose Basaure Aviles, 20
- Mia Sanchez Martinez, 25
- Luis Gomez Gomez, 25
On Jan. 23, Glendale police responded to a burglary at a home on the 1500 block of Parway Drive.
While investigating the home, nearby Burbank police officers spotted a vehicle with a fake temporary license plate.
They pulled the vehicle over and inside the car, discovered a collection of items including jewelry, luxury handbags, cash, athletic wear, multiple cellphones, masks, gloves and additional license plates that did not belong to the vehicle.
A Burbank police officer who was monitoring Glendale police’s radio frequency heard about the residential burglary and contacted Glendale police about the case. Officers confirmed that the items found inside the suspects’ vehicle were stolen from the Glendale home.
Photos of the stolen goods include Louis Vuitton purses, a Goyard backpack, jewelry, athletic wear, and more. A backpack with possible burglary tools was also found.
All three suspects were arrested and later charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for burglary.
“Collaboration and partnership are critical to protecting our communities,” police said. “The Glendale Police Department is grateful to the Burbank Police Department for its support.”
