WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — With the big matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Jan. 26, there are plenty of friendly wagers out there about who will win the NFC Championship.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) was no exception.
On Friday, WMATA posted on the X platform, addressing SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (which is the system that serves the Philadelphia area), letting it know that WMATA was in Philadelphia to see the Comanders “win” the NFL Championship Game.
WMATA proposed a friendly wager between Metro’s general manager, Randy Clarke, and SEPTA’s interim general manager, Scott Sauer: “Whoever wins has to wear the losing team’s jersey.”
By early Friday afternoon, SEPTA had not replied to the WMATA post.
