PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police in Prince William County said they are working to find a man who is accused of forcing his way into an apartment and strangling a woman.
The Prince William County Police Department said that on Monday, Jan. 20, just after 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the Point At Manassas Apartments in the 8000 block of Juliet Lane to investigate a domestic incident.
While at the scene, officers learned that a man had forced his way into the victim’s apartment. Police said the man and victim began arguing and he allegedly hit her multiple times.
At one point, police said the man allegedly wrapped an electrical cord around the woman’s neck causing her to temporarily lose consciousness.
Prince William County police later identified the man as 33-year-old Cameron Alexander Neal, of Culpeper, and obtained several warrants for his arrest. Police said officers tried to locate Neal but were unsuccessful.
He is wanted for strangulation, malicious wounding and burglary.
Anyone who may know Neal’s whereabouts is asked to call police immediately.
