Robert Eggers is reteaming with Focus Features after the phenomenal success of Nosferatu becoming the studio’s second highest grossing movie stateside with $90.5M behind Downton Abbey, and that is with the new genre movie Werwulf.
Pic which he co-wrote with The Northman‘s Sjón is getting a Christmas Day 2026 release in North America.
Focus Features is producing and financing. Both Eggers and Sjón will produce alongside Focus Features, with Maiden Voyage’s Chris and Eleanor Columbus executive producing.
To date, Eggers and Focus have teamed on all his movies, including the A24-released The Witch and The Lighthouse which the Uni speciality label handled international distribution on through Universal International.
