Fans of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! have slammed Terri Irwin, the mother of the popular series’ co-host Robert.
Terri, 60, who is often pictured out and about with her youngest child, 21, featured in a photo with Robert and his co-host Julia Morris on the set of the hit Channel Ten reality show.
The image was shared to social media by TV Week with the caption: ‘#ImACelebrityAU is well underway with the contestants in the jungle.’
‘But they weren’t the only celebrities insight as it appears #TerriIrwin visited her son #RobertIrwin and #JuliaMorris!’
The post generated a flurry of comments from fans, with many chastising Terri for stepping into her son’s limelight.
‘It’s good that she loves her son,’ one viewer commented. ‘But sometimes she needs to stay out of the limelight. Let him do his thing.’

Another added: ‘Shouldn’t Terri be at home looking after the animals not chasing Robert around? I’m not surprised she is there.’
A third suggested that Terri should let her adult son ‘live his life’.
‘FFS, Terri needs to get her own life and stop following Robert like a lost puppy. Let him live his own life without you being in it 24/7,’ they wrote.
Yet another claimed that Terri was living vicariously through her two children Robert and Bindi, 26.
‘She lives her life through her children…she’s afraid to let Robert go as Bindi is now married,’ they wrote.
‘Terry [sic] needs to find love for herself and let her son have his life back without his mum hanging around.’
It wasn’t all negativity however, with many viewers taking the opportunity to praise the Irwin’s tight-knit family relationship.
‘Maybe she likes her travelling with him, they are in country that’s huge with wildlife which is both their thing,’ one Irwin fan commented.

‘She couldn’t be too clingy if she lets him wrestle crocs like his dad.’
Another offered: ‘She has spent years being mum and dad and has done an excellent job, she deserves the joy to spend time with her children.
‘If Robert didn’t agree I’m sure he would politely tell her.’
A third leapt to Terri’s defence with: ‘If you realised how close the Irwin family was, then this isn’t weird? Why is it so wrong for a mother to go away with her son?’
Robert was let red-faced this week as he reacted to racy fan comments on his Instagram page.
During an interview with comedian Jimmy Rees, the celebrity conservationist, 21, read the comment section of his recent post, a smouldering photoshoot for Stellar magazine.
‘I don’t really look at comments, especially not for something like this,’ Robert said.
He then read the comments out loud, with one fan writing: ‘Dude is out here fishing with dynamite, it’s just not fair lol.’

A red-faced Robert jokingly responded: ‘Like the animal? That’s what they’re talking about right.’
‘Oh my gosh I’m gone. I’m redder than this,’ Robert added pointing at a red lounge.
‘And that is why I don’t look at my comments.’
