WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — People were dealing with another round of heavy, yet brief, snowfall Sunday.
“Being from the south, don’t really get a lot of that down there,” said Hunter Caballero, as he headed out to do some shopping.
The snow came as no surprise to those in Logan Circle.
“Thankfully, I didn’t have to drive,” said Kevin Oshinskie, who rode Metrorail from his home in Navy Yard. “If I had to drive, it might be different, but for now, it’s nice.”
While the snowfall did not last long, the next round of winter weather is expected to bring brutally cold wind chill temperatures that could make it feel like it’s in the single digits.
“I’m taking the day off tomorrow [Monday], so thankfully I don’t have to go anywhere yet,” Oshinskie said.
However, those braving the elements don’t seem too worried about what comes next from Old Man Winter.
“We’ve got stuff to do,” Caballero said. ” I can’t stop working because it’s cold.”
The brutal wind chills are expected to last for most of the week.
