HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Howard County Police Department (HCPD) is asking for the community’s help in their investigation after a 17-year-old boy was found dead inside a vehicle Tuesday night.
Police said that on Jan. 14, around 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 6000 block of Helen Dorsey Way for a suspicious call. There, Howard County police found 17-year-old Lance Carrington, of Columbia dead in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.
According to the Howard County police, Carrington was shot at least once.
Detectives believed that the shooting was targeted and was possibly drug-related, but they are still working to learn what time the incident took place.
As of Thursday, HCPD has not identified a suspect.
