(NewsNation) — The Los Angeles fires that started Tuesday afternoon and spread so quickly due to strong Santa Ana winds have devastated the Hollywood community — as several stars fled just before their homes burned to the ground.
Among the Pacific Palisades and Pasadena celebrities who lost their homes are:
- Melissa Rivers
- Ricki Lake
- Leighton Meester and Adam Brody
- Miles Teller
- Eugene Levy
- Anthony Hopkins
- Billy Crystal
- John Goodman
- Anna Faris
- James Woods
- Fran Drescher
All are said to be devastated… but safe.
Meanwhile, Hollywood has ground to a halt as the fires still rage. In response to the horrific situation, SAG announced there would be no live announcement of its nominations for the 2025 awards (instead putting them online), and, according to Variety, “Universal and Amazon MGM Studios have canceled their Tuesday premieres of ‘Wolf Man’ and ‘Unstoppable.’ Meanwhile, Paramount has canceled its Wednesday night premieres of Better Man’ and ‘The Pitt’.”
