WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection to the shooting in November 2024 that left a teenager hurt.
Police said that on Nov. 22 around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of East Capitol Street NE to investigate a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy who had been shot in an alley, near Eastern High School. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening.
During the investigation, detectives learned the shooting happened in the alley behind an apartment complex on East Capitol Street, Southeast.
After the shooting, the teen went to ask for help at the high school, nearby.
In an update, MPD announced that a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Jan. 8 in Prince George’s County, Md.
This case remains under investigation.
