SILVER SPRING, Md. (DC News Now) — Police released surveillance photos of suspects wanted in connection to a car theft that happened in Silver Spring in December.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that the suspects allegedly stole a 2013 Hyundai Elantra on Dec. 19 from the parking garage at the Wheaton Mall.
MCPD said that the suspects broke the driver’s door handle and drove away.
Police later recovered the car in D.C.
MCPD provided the following descriptions of the suspects:
- A Black male in his late teens, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing gray sweatpants, white socks with white slip-on sandals, a black winter jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, and was carrying a black Under Armour backpack.
- A Black female in her late teens, approximately 5-feet 7-inches tall, with a medium build and long hair. She was wearing multi-colored pajama bottoms, gray fuzzy boots, a black sweatshirt with “America” on the sleeves and was carrying a Kuchen & Bag cross body bag.
