WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A woman was stabbed inside of Union Station on Saturday afternoon, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that officers responded to Union Station around 1:20 p.m. for a reported stabbing.
Officers found a woman inside who had been stabbed. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
MPD said that she was conscious and breathing when transported.
Officers found and arrested a suspect nearby.
MPD said that AMTRAK Police is handling the investigation with help from MPD.
