Two suspects were arrested for organized retail theft at an Orange County shopping mall
The suspects were identified as Anita Snell, 27, of Las Vegas, and Jamil Naylor Harris, 23, according to the Irvine Police Department.
On Dec. 15, Irvine police officers responded to a theft in progress at a Lululemon store at the Irvine Spectrum Center.
Arriving officers spotted four suspects fleeing the retailer while holding stolen merchandise. Two people were detained while two others evaded capture.
The group reportedly stole over $800 worth of merchandise from the athletic wear store.
Inside the suspects’ vehicle, officers found more stolen goods — around $2,000 worth of items from Lululemon. The merchandise was reportedly taken from other stores throughout Southern California, police said.
The suspects were arrested for organized retail theft and for possessing stolen property. Police did not reveal their faces in a photograph of their arrest.
“We have a strong partnership with the Irvine Spectrum and their security team,” said Irvine police. “Our Spectrum Officers are dedicated to keeping the center safe every day of the week, and during the busy holiday season, we have additional officers on duty to support them.”
