The Los Angeles Police Department released video Monday of a violent hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian severely injured in the San Gabriel Valley Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 11 as a 22-year-old man was walking in the Foothill Boulevard crosswalk at Sayre Street.
A gray-colored sedan traveling northbound on Sayre Street made a left turn onto westbound Foothill Boulevard and struck the pedestrian, who flew several feet before landing in the middle of the road.
The unedited video can be seen on the LAPD’s YouTube page.
Investigators said the driver of the sedan fled on Foothill Boulevard and did not stop to render aid to the injured man.
The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said. No update on the man’s condition was provided.
