WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Snow fell in parts of Maryland and Virginia Sunday as a wintry mix moved across the western region.
As a result, residents in the Western Maryland area and the Commonwealth took to social media to show what the sky looked like in their backyards.
Maryland
One Western Marylander shared an image of their backyard covered in the powdery snow.
Another resident captured the snowy wonderland in Hagerstown, as seen below.
Virginia
In the Loudoun County area, snow fell lightly from the sky, as captured by one resident below.
Forecasters said the wintry weather out west will turn to rain and “taper off” in the region overnight.
