Just three “Squad” turned up to the farewells from the two members who lost their Democratic primaries this year, Reps. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) and Cori Bush (D-MO).
Bowman and Bush delivered their farewell speeches to an empty congressional floor.
Only fellow Squad members Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) were present.
Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Greg Casar (D-TX), Summer Lee (D-PA), and Delia Ramirez (D-IL) were among those missing.
As the future of the Democratic Party hangs in the balance, which many blame on “woke” issues, including anti-Israel protests supported by some Squad members.
Bowman drew a Jewish challenger after referring to Israel’s war against Hamas as a “genocide” against Palestinians,
AOC cancelled a planned appearance with Bowman on election day, a sign of how unpopular he had become.
