Brandi Glanville has reached out to plastic surgeon and Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow for help with the skin disfiguration on her face.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, shocked fans this week when she posted a unrecognisable photo showing the effects of the skin condition she was diagnosed with last year.
Glanville later took to X to claim doctors suspected her her facial condition may be caused by a parasite that ‘jumps around’ her face or stress.
Issuing an update to fans on Friday, Glanville shared another Instagram snap of her swollen face as she urged her followers to ‘be kind’.
When one follower suggested she should reach out to Dr Dubrow – one of the leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons in America – Glanville replied: ‘I reached out already.’
As luck would have it, Dr Dubrow weighed in with his thoughts on her plight, telling TMZ that Glanville’s misshapen skin and sunken cheeks were more likely the result of an infection, rather than a parasite.

She captioned the image: ‘It all started with a fun girls trip to the Hamptons with @phaedraparks @adrianeschwartz & @gretchenrossi … to learn more tune into my next podcast @brandiunfiltered be kind to people’.
One fan suggested she take the antiparasitic drug Ivermectin, to which she responded: ‘@shawni_brown I’ve been on ivermectin twice and Enverm which was 2gs a pill twice also hydrochloriquin and Mommebosel etc etc as well as iv antibiotics and soooooo many others for soooo long ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️’.
When another expressed their sympathy, she replied: ‘my very best friend has pancreatic cancer so I have to remind myself I’m blessed’.
Glanville also shared her frustration and not being able to get to the root of the issue as she wrote: ‘it could be ANY of the frustrating non diagnosis says I’ve had I’m watching Rudolph and those reindeer’s are bullies.
‘I’m gonna go to bed but I’m gonna talk about this later tonight with my friend a 30 year ER doctor veteran for my pod.’
The day before Glanville’s post, Dr Dubrow shared his concerns over Glanville’s disturbing claim that her recent facial disfigurement might be caused by a parasite.
Dubrow – who stars on the reality show Botched with Dr Paul Nassif – emphasised that Glanville’s condition could be a ‘ticking time bomb,’ and he urged her to get help from her doctors as soon as possible.

He added that, in his opinion, it’s most important to get a doctor to give her a clear diagnosis so that she can treat the root problem.
The cosmetic surgeon – who is married to Real Housewives Of Orange County star Heather Dubrow – said he was ‘concerned’ that Glanville could be suffering from either an ‘infectious process’ or a ‘foreign-body reaction to something she’s had injected.’
Dubrow also clarified that Glanville isn’t at ‘fault’ for not being certain about what is plaguing her, and he instead blamed her doctor for not having a solid diagnosis and treatment plan.
However, he seemed fairly certain that whatever was going on with her is ‘not a parasite’ and is ‘not from something she ate.’
Instead, he suggested the issue is ‘something that got into her bloodstream and seeded some foreign body.’
Surprisingly, Dubrow even thought it was possible that Glanville could be ahead of her doctors, as he said she could be right that she might require surgery.
He noted that she could have been infected with either mycobacteria or fungi, which could be ‘very difficult to treat.’
Dubrow looked particularly concerned when he said Glanville’s condition was ‘like a ticking time bomb,’ because the potential damage could get more and more severe in a short period of time.
He added that antibiotic treatments for mycobacteria or fungus could take six to 12 months, so it would be essential for her to get a solid diagnosis and possibly a skin sample to determine what she was suffering from.
He claimed Glanville needed to get a diagnosis to get treated as soon as possible, as a mycobacterial or fungal infection could quickly cause escalating damage day to day; Glanville is seen in 2022 in Las Vegas
