WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An enchanting holiday light display beyond your imagination. Winter City Lights lets you experience a winter wonderland in the DMV.
“Winter City Lights is an immersive holiday lights experience,” said John Dixon.
Dixon said Winter City Lights has been bringing holiday magic to the DMV for the last three years. He said the star of the show is a 52-foot tree made of tens of thousands of lights.
“Three or four times an hour there is a synchronized show with music and we have snow machines so it actually snows,” explained Dixon.
There is also an eight-lane and one-half-story ice tube slide called the “Penguin Plunge” and a 1.5-mile trail through the woods that has been transformed into a winter wonderland.
“When it’s dark and you’ve got a huge array of the tree and lights it just comes alive it creates a mood and a vibe that is just awesome,” said Dixon.
Winter City Lights runs until Dec. 29 in Onley, Md.
