ARMED ROBBERY: One of three masked males who followed a delivery person into the 7-Eleven, 4000 127th St. at 3 a.m. Nov. 20 threatened the delivery person and a store employee at gunpoint before the trio left with two cash-register till boxes and the delivery person’s wallet, police said.
Burbank
ATTEMPTED ATTACK: A resident of the 8400 block of Sayre Avenue told police he used his firearms to stand off a group of male acquaintances who twice attempted to enter his property the Nov. 28. The resident declined to identify members of the group, police said.
Evergreen Park
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Officers investigating a Nov. 21 break-in at the Exxon gas station, 2755 87th St., found the ATM severely damaged but unopened, police said. Security video shows two individuals prying open the door, chaining the ATM machine to an unplated vehicle’s trailer hitch and attempting to drive away, police said.
GUN POSSESSION: Antoine G. Patillo, 61, Chicago, was arrested and accused of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon Nov. 27 after OSF Little Company of Mary Medical Center hospital staff recovered a loaded firearm in his belongings, police said.
Lansing
GUN POSSESSION: Frederick L. Bishop Jr., 25, Chicago, was arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a loaded 9 mm luger pistol with an extended round magazine and then determined he lacked state gun permits during a Nov. 23 investigation at a gas station in the 17600 block of Torrence Avenue, police said.
Lockport
SHOTS EXCHANGED: No one appeared injured from a brief gun battle Dec. 7 between the building owner and individuals exiting Heritage Jewelers, 1115 9th St., through a broken glass front door at 2:36 a.m., police said. A sledge hammer was used to smash the door and glass display cases jewelry was taken, police said.
Midlothian
SHOTS FIRED: A pedestrian who exchanged shots at about 10:10 a.m. Nov. 25 with the occupants of a vehicle at 147th Street and Turner Avenue was taken into custody after fleeing into an apartment complex on Turner Avenue, police said.
New Lenox
DUI CRASH: Kenneth L. Kuzma, 62, 1000 block of Southgate Road, New Lenox, was arrested Dec. 2 in the 900 block of Cedar Road and accused of drunken driving after he drove off the road, over several bushes and into a gas station light pole, police said.
Oak Lawn
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: A Chicago Ridge man was arrested Dec. 3 after throwing a brick through a window on 105th Place, breaking into a home in the 4500 block of 102nd Place and grappling with three officers during a traffic stop, police said. Julian R. Montejano, 31, , is charged with criminal damage to property, residential burglary, aggravated drunken driving and aggravated battery, police said.
Orland Park
DUI CRASH: Janina Rokicianska, 72, 9000 block of Orland Court, Orland Park, was arrested Nov. 4 and accused of drunken driving, disobeying a traffic light, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and illegally transporting liquor at 156th Street and 94th Avenue, police said.
DUI CRASH: Joseph J. Hehir, 59, 11100 block of Karen Drive, Orland Park, was arrested Nov. 10 and accused of drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision during at 159th Street and 94th Avenue, police said.
Palos Heights
GUN POSSESSION: Jaylan J. Sweezer, 20, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a 9 mm pistol and loaded magazine Dec. 6 in the 7100 block of College Drive, police said. The minimum age to qualify for state gun permits is 21.
Park Forest
DEALING ALLEGED: Edward C. Lee Jr., 25, 300 block of Paxton Avenue, Calumet City, was arrested Nov. 27 and accused of possessing 30-500 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver and possessing a controlled substance after officers recovered 181 grams of cannabis in 26 plastic sandwich bags, $988 cash, and a opiate-based pill during a traffic stop on Sauk Trail near Western Avenue, police said.
Posen
DUI CRASH: A Chicago man accused of injuring the occupant of a pulled-over vehicle and seriously injuring an Illinois state trooper is scheduled to appear in Cook County Court/Markham Jan. 2, charged with aggravated drunken driving/no insurance, driving on a suspended license, passing an emergency vehicle, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision and improper lane use, according to a court spokesperson. Ricky D. Jordon, 56, Chicago, sideswiped the vehicle on Interstate 57 near 135th Street Dec. 5, propelling it into the trooper, who was standing on the passenger side, state police said. The trooper is still recovering from his injuries and has not yet returned to work, police said.
Steger
THEFT: Anthony L. Zimmerman, 49, DeMotte, Indiana, was arrested Nov. 26 on charges of theft and unlawful possession of a credit/debit card, according to Will County sheriff’s and court records online. Zimmerman and an unidentified person used a bad $2,064 check in September 2022 to pay for merchandise at a power-equipment dealer in Steger, police said. Zimmerman also used credit/debit cards from a wallet left unattended at the store to purchase gas in Steger and clothing in Homewood, police said.
Tinley Park
DRUNKEN DRIVING: David M. Dilley, 23, 16600 block of Gaynelle Road, Tinley Park, was sentenced to two days in jail, placed on 24 months’ probation and ordered to perform 240 hours of community service Nov. 20 after he was found guilty of drunken driving and reckless driving May 23, according to Will County court records online.
