A disgruntled Utah man smashed his car into the storefront of a dealership he had bought it from earlier that day after he was allegedly denied a refund when he discovered his new ride had mechanical issues.
Michael Lee Murray, 35, bought a used Subaru Outback from the Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne car dealership in Sandy, a city in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, for $4,000 on Monday morning, according to Fox 13 News.
However, Murray alleged that he was sold a “lemon” — a vehicle whose manufacturing issues jeopardize the driver’s safety — soon after he snagged the wheels.
Murray returned to the dealership and asked for a refund, but management told him the car was sold “as is” and could not be returned.
Manager Tyler Slade said that the dealership also told Murray before he bought the Subaru that the car needed work, according to the outlet.
A wild video recorded inside the dealership shows Murray driving the car directly into the dealership’s glass doors and taking out a desk.
“I told you mother f–kers! I told you!” Murray shouted as he walked over the shattered glass, ripped his jacket off, and exited through the building’s destroyed front doors.
