Officers responded to a call of a man being punched in the eye and an unknown liquid being thrown in his face Monday night while he was walking in the Logan Square neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man needing medical help at a residence in Logan Square after reporting he was struck to the eye while walking two hours earlier in the 3500 block of West Armitage Avenue. The victim also said an unknown liquid was thrown in his face causing burning and blurred vision, police said.
Officers called paramedics and the man was taken to Humboldt Park Health where he was listed in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
