WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — You may not know it, but the Transportation Security Administriation (TSA) puts out a yearly calendar featuring some of the hardest-working employees you’ll find on four legs.
The TSA Canine Calendar is an annual tradition that honors more than 1,000 dogs that have the job of detecting explosives at airports across the country.
Among the dogs featured in the 2025 calendar is Argo, a 9-year-old Labrador Retriver that works with his handler, Jonathan Lilly, at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
Argo and Lilly have worked together for seven years. The TSA said in addition to working at BWI, the team has supported Super Bowl LVI and Super Bowl LVIII.
“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside Argo and help protect the traveling public,” Lilly said. “We are partners in every sense of the word. Argo enjoys working and when he’s not working, he absolutely loves playing catch in the back yard, and he likes playing with his tennis ball on a rope. He will hold the rope and helicopter the ball around or bat the ball like it’s a ball of yarn.”
Lilly added that Argo also likes chasing crickets outdoors.
The 2025 TSA Canine Calendar is free to download. Here is the alphabetical list of dogs appearing in it and where they work. Although Argo is at the top, he is the canine for July:
