CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — According to a representative of the West Virginia Senate, Senator Randy Smith was chosen by the Republican caucus tonight as their nominee for Senate President.
Sen. Smith is a Tucker County coal miner and he represents Monongalia, Taylor, Preston, Tucker, Barbour, Grant, Hardy, and Mineral Counties.
The Senate will formally elect its officers on the opening day of the 2025 Regular Session, which will be January 8, 2025.
