EXCLUSIVE: Asa Germann, a cast member on Prime Video’s The Boys and college spin-off Gen V, is the newest addition to the cast of Scream 7.
Character details are under wraps. Germann joins an ensemble that also includes the returning Neve Campbell, who stars across the franchise as final girl Sidney Prescott, as well as newcomers Isabel May and Celeste O’Connor. May’s playing Prescott’s daughter; no word on O’Connor’s character.
A logline for the new slasher has not yet been disclosed. Pic comes on the heels of Scream VI, which brought in a franchise-high domestic gross exceeding $108 million in March 2023. Collectively, films in the meta horror franchise have earned more than $900 million in worldwide box office receipts.
Kevin Williamson, architect of the Scream franchise who scripted the original Wes Craven film, will direct from a script by Guy Busick. Also aboard, following collaborations with the scribe on 2022’s Scream reboot and the aforementioned Scream VI, are James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein, who produce for Project X Entertainment. Hailing from Spyglass Media Group, Scream 7 will release in theaters worldwide via Paramount Pictures on February 27, 2026.
In The Boys and Gen V, Germann plays Sam Riordan, a super-strong “supe” who was a test subject of the secret Vought lab The Woods. Sam suffers from hallucinations and trauma due to the brutal experiments he endured. While forming a bond with Emma (Lizze Broadway), a fellow student at supe college Godolkin University, he wrestles with his desire for revenge against those who’ve done him wrong.
Also previously seen in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Germann is represented by SDB Partners and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
