The southbound routes at Baltimore’s Fort McHenry Tunnel are temporarily closed due to a tractor-trailer crash with a fuel leak Thursday morning, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.
Traffic has been detoured off at Keith Avenue (exit 56), the administration said Thursday around 7 a.m. on the social media platform X. The northbound left tube has reopened.
Motorists can expect “major delays” at the tunnel. The highway administration recommends taking alternate routes at southbound I-895.
There were no reports of injuries.
