WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is set to perform at the Washington Wizards’ concert series in March.
Shaq will perform on Friday, March 21, 2025, following the Wizards vs. Orlando Magic game, which happened to be the first NBA team to draft O’Neal back in 1992. He spent four seasons with the Magic, according to the NBA.
Shaq won’t be on the court this time, but behind a turntable as “DJ Diesel.”
The Wizards said Shaq released his first rap album “Shaq Diesel” back in 1993, and has since made a name for himself in the music industry.
He’s released several records over the years and collaborated with artists such as Steve Aoki, Eliminate and more, performing at Lollapalooza, Lost Lands and Las Vegas, where he had a residency for a time.
Fans can attend DJ Diesel’s post-game performance at no extra cost after buying a ticket for the March 21st game. Tickets start at $21 through Ticketmaster.
