LARGO, Md. (DC News Now) — Prince George’s County police hosted a family-friendly holiday celebration Tuesday evening.
Tasya Jones and her husband were among the nearly 200 attendees.
“We are glad to have a chance to connect with law enforcement and we are having a real good time out here,” Jones said.
“Joy to the World” was hosted by Chief Malik Aziz and a number of his officers attended. Even Santa Claus paid a visit.
Aziz told DC News Now he always enjoys getting to meet and greet residents he serves for the holidays.
“This is fantastic,” he said. “This is what it’s all about: police and community bridging that gap. It is a festive time of the year and time for us to unite … to enjoy each other in the spirit of the holidays.”
Dinner was served for everyone in the second year of the joy-filled holiday celebration.
