A 19-year-old woman was shot in the Loop Saturday night after a holiday lights show that drew large crowds downtown.
Shortly before 9 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of West Washington Street, where the woman was shot in the leg after an unknown man opened fire while she walked on the sidewalk with a group, according to police.
First responders transported her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was listed in fair condition. No one had been arrested as of Sunday morning, and detectives continue to investigate, police said.
Holiday festivities in the Magnificent Mile, including a lights festival, parade and fireworks, had just wrapped up north of the river.
