LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (LCFR) said a deputy was injured after a house fire in Ashburn on Friday morning.
Police said that at about 4 a.m., they received multiple 911 calls about a house on fire in the 44000 block of Chatham Way.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they saw a two-story, single-family dwelling with heavy fire showing from all sides and through the roof.
There was no one in the home at the time of the fire.
The fire was extinguished and the house was deemed a total loss. Some neighboring structures also had some damage.
Crews said no residents or firefighters were injured but a Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office deputy was taken to the hospital and treated for a minor injury.
Crews are working to determine the cause of the fire and the cost of the damage.
