WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police announced on Friday that officers are investigating two burglaries at two separate businesses up the street from each other in Northeast D.C.
The burglaries happened just over a month apart on H Street. Police said surveillance cameras captured suspects in both crimes.
The first break-in happened on Saturday, Sept. 10, at A Ma Maniére, a luxury men’s apparel and footwear store. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), officers responded to the store in the 1200 block of H St. just after midnight.
There, officers discovered that a group of suspects had forced their way into the business, stealing several pieces of “high-end clothing” before escaping.
“Yeah, they were coming out, running up and down the street,” said Rob Lynn, who says he witnessed the crime. “Then cars pulled up, and picked a bunch of them up, and took off.”

The next burglary happened on Sunday, Oct. 13, in the 1300 block of H St. There, officers responded to a vape shop for a burglary just before 6 a.m.
Upon investigating, officers discovered that three suspects had entered the closed business and stole vape products before escaping.

“I’m surprised it took them that long to release the police footage,” Lynn said regarding the burglaries.
