Jessica Simpson‘s husband Eric Johnson stepped out without his wedding ring on Tuesday in his first public sighting since divorce rumors ignited.
The singer, 44, wed ex NFL star Johnson, 45, in 2014 and the pair share three children – but have not been seen together in months and Simpson has notably ditched her wedding ring.
Johnson looked somber as he flashed his ring-free hand while out in LA with his parents and without his wife – who hinted their marriage was over in a damning Instagram post on Monday.
He wore a navy hoodie, baseball cap and jeans for his outing.
The sighting comes after it was revealed Jessica’s pals had reached out to divorce lawyers on her behalf.

Sources claim to TMZ that ‘late last month’ someone close to Simpson went to an LA divorce attorney, said the star was ‘unhappy’ in her marriage and wanted to arrange a meeting with the attorney and Simpson.
Simpson did not make direct contact with the lawyer.
A member of Jessica’s team also reportedly made contact with a different LA divorce lawyer – but there was no ‘follow-through.’

Jessica further fueled split speculation with a damning post which cast a negative light on someone close to her.
‘Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,’ began the singer in her caption.

Her quote raised eyebrows as followers tried to guess who made her put up with ‘everything I did not deserve.’

Another said: ‘I’m so sorry you went through what you did.’
One fan said: ‘Are you talking about your husband?’
Then there was this fan who seemed off base: ‘I feel as though she regrets divorcing Nick. All due respect to her.’

He hasn’t appeared on her social media since April – which in today’s day and age is a clear sign of problems for the social media obsessed crowd.
