NEW YORK (WPIX) – With millions of Americans making their way to the polls for Election Day on Tuesday, some federal agencies are closed.
You may be wondering if post offices are also closed on Election Day. Despite some city agencies and companies not operating you will likely still get your mail and packages.
Most major carriers will continue service on Election Day. Here are the ones that will be open.
- United States Postal Service (USPS)
- FedEx
- UPS
The next holiday in which you will not receive any mail — at least from USPS — will be Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
While you will still have to check the mailbox on Tuesday, it may mark the last day it will be stuffed with campaign mailers.
