ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) is investigating an armed robbery that happened Friday afternoon in the Ballston area.
In a post posted on X at 3:25 p.m., ACPD said the suspect robbed a business in the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. They then fled into the Ballston metro before being arrested by officers.
Trains were briefly single-tracking at Ballston while Metro Transit Police Department officers supported the investigation. They have since resumed normal service.
ACPD said people should expect a continued police presence in the area.
