MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Montgomery County said on Tuesday that they arrested a man in connection to his father’s death.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) responded to the 12000 block of Sandalwood Lane just before 7 p.m. on Monday. There, they found 88-year-old David Newsome dead, with apparent trauma to his body.
Investigators determined his son, 48-year-old Fabian Newsome – who lives in the same home as his father – was the suspect involved.
David Newsome’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will officially determine his cause and manner of death.
Fabian was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
