WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a dog was shot and killed after it charged at officers Sunday afternoon.
MPD said that at about 1:20 p.m., a loose dog ran at officers in the 2300 block of 25 St. in Southeast D.C.
One of the officers then shot the dog, killing it.
MPD said its Force Investigations Team is investigating the incident.
