(NewsNation) — NewsNation will be hosting a town hall with Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, the Republican nominee for vice president, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
The town hall takes place in Detroit, Michigan, and will be moderated by Chris Cuomo, with viewers having the option to submit questions for Vance.
The town hall will take place in front of a live studio audience representing Republicans, Democrats and independents and will focus on key election issues including health care, the economy and the border.
Democratic vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has been invited to participate in a similar event.

The town hall will air on NewsNation and be streamed exclusively on X online.
After the town hall, NewsNation will air a special two-hour edition of CUOMO starting at 9 p.m. ET, followed by a town hall encore at 11 p.m. ET.

Recent polling data shows 45.2% of voters hold an unfavorable view of former President Donald Trump’s VP pick. That number has held reasonably steady since early August, an increase from a 28.9% unfavorable rating in mid-July.
