Aussie Shore star Catia Sinigaglia has revealed she was a ‘super’ Jersey Shore fan growing up and thought her X-rated spin-off couldn’t compete.
The personal trainer, 23, took to TikTok over the weekend to give her ‘honest opinion’ on the Down Under version of the franchise.
Lying on her bed wearing makeup from the night before, Catia said she and the Aussie Shore cast were their ‘authentic selves’ throughout the debut season.
‘I just want to say, I have been a super Shore fan since I was like 10-years-old,’ she began her video.
‘So when I found out they were doing an Aussie Shore, I was like, “There is no way. You cannot compete with the OGs.”
‘The Meatballs, the Situation, [DJ] Pauly D, like, honestly icons. So I personally don’t think we’re trying to compete with them. We are very different.
‘Times have changed so we’re completely different. But we were our authentic selves.’
She added: ‘So please try and be kind because we were just being our authentic selves, and if you hate us then I love you more.’

Catia, a self-proclaimed ‘Hot Mess’ and shameless flirt, is one of 11 housemates in Aussie Shore, which was filmed in Cairns, Queensland.
Among the castmates is I’m A Celebrity and Love Island star Callum Hole who recently admitted he was shocked by what went on in the house during filming.
Based on the Geordie Shore franchise, the Paramount+ series has been branded ‘the most X-rated show on Australian television’.
The Love Island alum told The Project on Friday night that he’d never experienced anything like it.
‘Oh, it’s been absolute madness. From the moment I went in there, I was taken aback by how wild these bunch of Aussies were,’ the 26-year-old Welsh star said.
‘Honestly, it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.’
Callum said the cast were fuelled by 12-hour drinking sessions and a general lawlessness to the proceedings.

‘What’s the word they use in Australia? Rogue? They go rogue? That’s what it was. As soon as you wake up in the morning, doesn’t matter if there’s alcohol involved or not, it’s go-go-go from start to finish,’ he explained.
‘It’s not like any other reality TV show I’ve done in the aspect that, it’s not like a game show. There’s no competition element. There’s no pressure in the back of your head to actually, you know, perform well or to worry that you might get eliminated by the public.
‘Literally, you wake up in the morning and Charlotte Crosby, our boss, a veteran of Geordie Shore, will come in and be like, “You’re in a boat party tonight. You’ve got half an hour to get ready.”
‘And we start drinking, and probably drink for the next 12 hours, and it gets wilder as the night goes on.’

The series has already shocked viewers by showing explicit scenes of sex, full frontal nudity and a shocking ‘p**s transplant’.
Aussie Shore is the latest iteration of the smash hit Jersey and Geordie Shore franchises made famous in the US and UK.
The booze-fuelled party series, filmed in Cairns, Queensland, has kicked off with some of the most graphic scenes seen in Down Under TV history.
Aussie Shore will see the housemates work various jobs around the city, under the guidance of ‘house boss’ Charlotte, 34, while partying it up in their spare time.
Aussie Shore is now streaming on Paramount+ with new episodes on Thursdays.
