It’s always fun when Jenna Bush Hager looks back on her partying days on Today.
Bush Hager has shared countless stories from her youth – including the time she lost her teeth while dancing and got arrested for underaged drinking. But during Tuesday’s (Oct. 8) broadcast, she shared a photo from her clubbing days for the very first time.
She recounted to Hoda Kotb that she ran into LeBron James while partying at a “cloob” in Miami where LMFAO was performing. “I was there and someone came up to me and said, ‘You know the Miami Heat just won the championship’ – the title, I believe, [I’m] 50% sure they won something big – ‘And do you wanna come meet LeBron?’”
She added that she had met James once before but happily agreed. She snapped a hilarious photo with the basketball star and her friend who was celebrating her bachelorette that evening.
“This is the moment,” Kotb said as they unveiled the photo, which showed Bush Hager with a headband around her forehead and a credit card tucked into her top. “Girl with her headband and her credit card tucked into her tube top that she wore to the ‘cloob.’”
They shared a laugh over the photo as Bush Hager said, “Now I haven’t shown that picture publicly because of the credit card tucked into the boob. I feel like that was irresponsible.”
“And I felt like my mom might be embarrassed by that. But that memory never leaves me,” she added.
She later told Kotb that someone showed her a bumper sticker that someone had in Austin, Texas, that said, “WWJD: What Would Jenna Drink.”
“Oh my god,” Kotb replied as she laughed.
“Libby, our boss, goes, ‘That’s your legacy,’” Bush Hager continued. “Wow, that’s great.”
