ACCOKEEK, Md. (DC News Now) — Police were investigating after a 20-year-old died in a single-car crash overnight on Monday.
Around 3:30 a.m., Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) officers responded to the 1100 block of Bryans Point Rd. for a crash.
The passenger, Cadence Cox of Capitol Heights, died there. The driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
PGPD said that investigators believe the driver was headed west on Bryans Point Road when they lost control and hit a tree.
Investigators did not yet know why the driver lost control.
