The festival, which was started in 1990 by local rock station WHFS, has been held at numerous different concert venues around the D.C. region — including RFK Stadium, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and Merriweather Post Pavilion. This is the first time Nats Park has hosted the event.
Headliners Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service are expected to take the stage later in the night. Ahead of the top-billers, ticketholders will hear from performers like Jimmy Eat World (“The Middle”), Liz Phair (“Why Can’t I?”) and Incubus (“Drive”).
