The cat was out of the bag, but now she’s back after a nine-day escapade through LAX.
Gocha, a 10-year-old rescue cat, escaped from her cage on Sept. 11 after it fell out of the car while her owner was unpacking her luggage.
The skittish feline quickly scampered off and was spotted around the airport on the 11th near a sidewalk bumpout near Terminals 3 and B shortly after.
However, she eluded all attempts to capture her on that day, forcing her owner to return to Korea without her precious cargo, as she could not afford to miss her flight.
Over the next few days, two sightings of Gocha were reported, including a construction worker who saw her wandering through a construction zone. Another airport employee saw Gocha underneath a piece of machinery and was even able to snap a picture of the kitty, but they could not capture her.
Traps were set up around the airport grounds with the hopes of attracting Gocha and capturing her, and that’s exactly what happened on Friday.
Photos sent to KTLA show the cat in her cage and underneath a piece of furniture at the Riverside home of Gocha’s owner’s friend, who she had come to visit from Korea.
