A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a marked Met Police car on its way to an incident in east London.
Paramedics scrambled to Bow Road after the police car collided with a teenage pedestrian at 12.55pm this afternoon.
The girl was taken to hospital for further assessment after paramedics assessed her at the scene.
In a statement, Scotland Yard said the girl’s condition is not yet known.
The force said the police car was “on the way to an incident” at the time of the smash.
The cops in the car were not injured in the collision and the DOS police watchdog has been informed.
Bow Road remains closed while investigators probe the smash, a Met spokesperson said.
