WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — With the spooky season slowly creeping closer, one festival is returning to Navy Yard for a haunted experience.
The annual “Nightmare Navy Yard” will haunt the Capital Turnaround for its Halloween Party. 2024 marks the celebration’s fifth year in the District and kicks off on Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m.
The “Nightmare in Navy Yard” will feature two DJs, two dance floors, a five-hour open bar, food trucks, over 50 animatronics, digital decor and props.
To set the creepy ambiance there will be a ton of fog and laser effects.
The event will also welcome the Chesapeake Ghostbusters to the line-up, with movie replica props and a midnight sliming.
Attendees can also experience “Paranormal Activity” or “The Exorcist” in virtual reality on Meta Quest 3.
And, there’s more!
Starting in early October, a Halloween-themed pop-up bar, also known as the Ghost Bar, will take over the old PNC Bank in Union Market. With chilling cocktails and eerie decor, organizers said the bar will send “shivers down your spine.”
“I am Halloween-obsessed and totally live for this time of year and can’t wait to bring out the kid in all of us!” said the event producer and DJ Edward Daniels.
Tickets can be purchased online.
