New Yorkers hoping to watch Tuesday night’s presidential debate with friends and strangers at a restaurant or bar will have plenty of options.

Numerous establishments across the city are hosting watch parties for the first official face-off between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

It will mark Trump’s second debate of the 2024 presidential cycle, after he famously flustered President Biden so badly in the first debate on June 27 that Biden eventually dropped out of the race nearly a month later.

The debate will be broadcast on ABC beginning at 9 p.m. It will also be aired live by CBS, NBC, Fox and PBS, along with CNN, Fox News and C-SPAN 2.

The New York Democratic Party is hosting a watch party at PB Brasserie in Harlem on W. 125th St., with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.

Additionally, state Senator James Sanders Jr., Assemblyman Khaleel Anderson and NYC Council Majority Whip Selvena N. Brooks-Powers will be watching the debate at the Dred Surfer Grill in Far Rockaway, with doors opening at 8 p.m.

For anyone hoping to enjoy the showdown with a view, 230 Fifth’s rooftop bar will be open and airing the debate, with tickets available ahead of time through EventBrite.

Other bars advertising debate parties with more traditional views include Ulysses in the Financial District, Mary O’s in the East Village and Everything Jake’s near Union Square.

There are also plenty of events set to focus more on content than cocktails. At Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights, an outdoor watch party is scheduled beginning at 6:30 p.m. Another event through the Brooklyn YWCA is scheduled for 8 p.m. at BK9 in Park Slope.
