A COP car has crashed into pedestrians in Madrid’s city centre leaving at least three people injured.
Two women and a baby have reportedly been rushed to hospital after the police car “travelling at high speed” lost control and mounted the pavement.
The baby was taken to a specialist with head injuries, and the 34-year-old mum rushed to a different hospital with a fractured femur, according to Spanish reports.
Another woman, 47, copped a “catastrophic” foot injury and is in a serious condition, reports say.
The crash is thought to have occurred just after 4pm in the city’s Salamanca district.
Video showing aftermath of the incident was circulating on X on Sunday.
People are seen lying on the footpath with witnesses at their aid.
A police car is up on the same footpath and appears bashed and torn at the front with the window wipers waving.
A concerned crowd of people gather around the car, as others kneel down to help.
In a video from a different angle, another police car is seen arriving at the scene.
The car is thought to have come up onto the pavement “at high speed”.
It was rushing to a scene with its lights and siren on when another car forced it to swerve, according to ABC Madrid.
It then lost control and came up onto the pavement.
